Back Pain Systems RESET™ is a phased neurological, biomechanical and behavioural re-education system designed to help you calm the pain system, rebuild movement confidence, restore strength and return to daily life with less fear, less guarding and more control.

RESET™ can be completed independently through the Back Pain Systems™ App, or with support through RESET™ Coaching. Both pathways are built from the same Back Pain Systems™ principles, but they are different delivery models. One gives you the app structure to follow at your own pace. The other gives you coaching, teaching, support and progression.

RESET™ Solo is the self-guided pathway inside the Back Pain Systems™ App. It is organised around four app-based RESET™ phases that you work through independently and at your own pace.

RESET™ Coaching

RESET™ Coaching is the supported pathway through RESET™. It begins with a 12-week coaching block, where a trained RESET Coach™ helps you understand, apply and integrate the programme with more guidance and accountability.

What is RESET™ Coaching?

RESET™ Coaching is for people who want more than an app pathway. It gives you structured support from a trained RESET Coach™ so you are not trying to work everything out alone.

A RESET Coach™ helps you understand the programme, adapt the pathway to your body, stay accountable and make sense of flare-ups, fear, setbacks and progression.

Coaching can be delivered digitally through video calls, or face-to-face where a suitable RESET Coach™ is available. Digital coaching can still provide valuable guidance, teaching and accountability, although some people may prefer in-person support where possible.

For people who feel stuck

Coaching is ideal if you feel overwhelmed, unsure where to start, afraid of flare-ups or unsure how to progress without making symptoms worse.

For people who need accountability

Many people know they need to move, strengthen, breathe differently or change habits — but need structure, reassurance and support to stay consistent.

For people who want guided progression

A RESET Coach™ helps you move through the six coached teaching and progression phases with more clarity, confidence and clinical reasoning.

The aim is not to create dependency. The aim is to help you develop the knowledge, confidence and tools to manage your back pain system more effectively.

RESET™ Coaching: six supported phases through the first 12 weeks

RESET™ Coaching is organised into six clear teaching and progression phases. These phases sit alongside the RESET™ app pathway and are designed to help you learn, apply and integrate RESET™ with coaching support. The aim is not to promise a complete cure in 12 weeks — the aim is to help you build the foundations for safer movement, fewer relapses and more confidence in daily life.
