An electrocardiogram (ECG) records the electrical activity of the heart. The heart produces tiny electrical impulses which spread through the heart muscle to make the heart contract. These impulses can be detected by the ECG machine. An ECG is commonly used to understand symptoms such as palpitations or chest pain. This Course will explain the rhythms of the heart and the various heart disorders that produce abnormal patterns. The Practical Training Day will enable you to use an ECG, interpret the findings, and add another tool to your tool kit.
